Free workshops for job-seekers offered

The city of Wichita and the Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas are hosting a series of free workshops in August for those seeking jobs, according to a news release.

Workshops will focus on job search techniques, resume writing and interview strategies and introductions to computers.

Evergreen Center, 2700 N. Woodland, 316-303-8042

•  Job search, 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 13
•  Resume and interview, 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 6
•  Introduction to computers, 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 20

Atwater Center, 2755 E. 19th St., 316-303-8017

•  Job search, 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 14
•  Resume and interview, 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 7
•  Introduction to computers, 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 21

Colvin Center, 2820 S. Roosevelt, 316-303-8023

•  Job search, 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 15
•  Resume and interview, 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 8
•  Introduction to computers, 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 22
