Police arrested a 47-year-old man after he was caught stuffing meat down his pants at a grocery store Monday night.

An employee of the Save-A-Lot at 2402 E. 13th St., near Grove, spotted the man tucking a couple of packages of meat inside his clothing shortly before 8:15 p.m., according to a police report.

The man stuck two chubs of ground beef in his pants, store manager Robert Thomas said.

“Once they take pictures of it (for evidence), we toss it,” Thomas said.
