Two teens — one of them armed with a handgun — robbed a Papa John’s delivery man right after he made a delivery Monday night near 13th and Hillside, police said.
The delivery man had just dropped off pizzas in the 1600 block of North Chautauqua at about 9:15 p.m. Monday, Capt. Dan East said, when he was approached by two boys he estimated to be 16 years old.
One of them pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The delivery man gave him a small amount of money and the two robbers ran south on Lorraine, East said.
East said anyone with information linked to the robbery is encouraged to call detectives at 316-268-4177. They can also call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
Tips can also be sent online at www.WichitaCrimestoppers.com or via mobile phone by texting TIP217 then the message to CRIMES (274637).
