Wichita could see its second triple-digit day of the year on Friday, forecasters say.
Gusty south winds topping 30 miles an hour at times will help feed the rise in temperature. Overnight lows will only drop to the upper half of the 70s before Saturday delivers another potential 100-degree day, forecasters say.
South-southwesterly winds will again play their part in the heating, gusting above 25 miles an hour. A front will push through later in the day, bringing a chance of rain and notably cooler temperatures.
Highs on Sunday will be in the low 90s and in the upper 80s on Monday, forecasters say.
