Police have few leads as they seek to find out who fired several shots at a house northeast of downtown Wichita early Wednesday morning.
A 19-year-old woman was awakened by the sound of several gunshots at about 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of North Minnesota, Lt. Dan East said. That’s northwest of 13th and Grove.
The woman told police she heard four or five shots. When she went out to investigate, she saw that the front of the house had been struck twice by bullets, East said.
She did not see or hear anyone. There were four people inside the house at the time of the incident: females ages 2, 16, 19 and 24.
No injuries were reported. East said anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact detectives at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
