Truck on fire causes traffic jam on East 21st

Wichita police are directing traffic at 21st Street east of Rock Road after an empty vehicle caught fire.
Sedgwick County dispatch received a call at about 12:30 p.m. for a black SUV causing a traffic jam in an eastbound lane of 21st Street, just east of Rock Road, according to dispatch. Another call was received at about 12:50 p.m. reporting that an empty, white Dodge truck sitting in an eastbound lane of 21st Street was on fire. The eastbound lane was completely blocked as of 12:54 p.m.
Fire crews have put out the fire and left the scene, but police were still directing traffic as of 1:30 p.m. No victims were reported.
