Wichita police will conduct a DUI saturation patrol Friday evening in west Wichita, Lt. Dan East said Friday morning.

The patrol is made possible through an Impaired Drivers Deterance Program grant and is funded by the Kansas Department of Transportation, East said.

The program aims to enforce and educate Kansans about the state’s impaired driving laws, according to the Department of Transportation website.

“Officers will be out looking for and enforcing violations associated with impaired driving,” East said.
