Early commuters may get wet in the Wichita area Thursday morning, forecasters say, as showers and thunderstorms finish moving through the region.
Skies will gradually clear throughout the day, however, as highs climb near 90. Winds will be out of the north early in the day before shifting to the south later on, forecasters say. Gusts could approach 25 miles an hour.
Lows tonight will only drop to the low to mid-70s under mostly clear skies, before gusty south winds help send the temperature soaring on Friday to the mid- to upper 90s. Clear skies and gusts of nearly 30 miles an hour will help the region sizzle, forecasters say.
Temperatures could brush 100 on Saturday before cooling off to the low 90s on Sunday.
