A Kansas principal has been named president of a national organization for middle and high school level administrators.
G.A. Buie, principal of Eudora High School, will assume his role as head of the National Association of Secondary School Principals during a meeting in California this week. The group, which has about 20,000 members across the United States and 36 countries, advocates on behalf of school leaders.
Buie has been a school administrator since 1996. Before becoming principal of Eudora High in 2010, he served as principal of Wheatridge Middle School in the Gardner Edgerton school district and Anderson County Jr./Sr. High in Garnett. He also served as assistant principal at Fredonia High School.
