A woman was attacked and robbed at a southeast Wichita Dillons parking lot Monday, police said.

A 14-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy came up to the 67-year-old woman as she was approaching the store at 5500 E. Harry at about 5:45 p.m. Monday, Lt. Dan East said. That’s next to Edgemoor.

She resisted when they tried to steal her purse, East said, prompting the girl to push her to the ground. They were able to get the purse and began running from the parking lot. Two men, ages 20 and 28, saw what happened and began running after the teens.

They caught up to the girl in the 900 block of East Bleckley and held her until the police arrived, East said. The boy escaped with the purse, however.

The victim suffered minor injuries, East said.
