Wichita weather: Not as hot, with a chance of showers

Tuesday will be several degrees cooler than Monday in the Wichita area, with highs likely to top out in the upper 80s.
There’s a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, forecasters say. North-northeasterly winds will be in the teens, with gusts topping 20 miles an hour.
Lows tonight will be in the mid-60s under partly cloudy skies. Wednesday will be pleasant for mid-July, forecasters say, with highs in the upper 80s and light winds. There will be a few clouds around as well.
Slight chances for rain return Wednesday night and Thursday, when highs will nudge 90.
