A Canadian photographer can’t believe the luck she had when she was shooting portraits of a bride and groom on Saturday – a twister dropped down from the sky to photobomb the pics.
“Could NOT wait to post these!” Colleen Niska wrote on her Facebook page, where the photos have been shared nearly 14,000 times. “Pretty sure this will only happen once in my lifetime!”
The Saskatchewan photographer was taking pictures of the couple on a rural road near Saskatoon when the twister appeared.
CTV News reports that two tornadoes touched down near a town about an hour away from the photo shoot occurred.
More than 1,000 comments have been posted on Niska’s Facebook, including (wild) speculation that the pictures were Photoshopped.
Some people also questioned the taste level of the pics. “I'm not sure how I feel about this, knowing people who have suffered great loss from tornadoes. Seems in bad taste. I dunno,” wrote one.
But most people are simply in awe of the timing. Wrote one couple: “Colleen I also want a tornado in my wedding pics in Aug please.”
