A stranger brandishing a gun in each hand robbed a man in an east Wichita hotel room early Tuesday morning, police said.
The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. at the Starlight Motel at 6345 E. Kellogg, Lt. Dan East said. A man and woman, both 29, were together in a room at the hotel when there was a knock on the door.
The woman answered the door and the robber walked in, pointing two handguns at the man and demanding his money, East said. The suspect took cash, a cellphone and the victim’s 2006 green, four-door Impala.
Neither person in the hotel room was hurt. The man told police the suspect is a black man about 25 years of age. He is 5-feet-10 and 205 pounds. He wore blue jeans, a white hooded sweatshirt and a red bandanna that partially covered his face.
The man and woman who were in the hotel are acquaintances, East said. Investigators are checking to see whether there is any connection between the suspect and the woman.
