A teenager slammed into the back of a police car that was parked Saturday morning near Tyler and Central for a traffic stop.
A Wichita police officer was conducting a traffic stop at 2:45 a.m. in the 900 block of North Tyler when a 17-year-old driver rammed his car into the back of the police cruiser, Sgt. John Hoofer said.
The teenager fled the scene in his car but was soon arrested on suspicion of driver under the influence, Hoofer said.
No one was injured. The patrol car, however, will be out of service for repairs, Hoofer said.
