Demonstrators to oppose action in Iraq on Friday in downtown Wichita

A demonstration opposing U.S. military action in Iraq is scheduled for downtown Wichita on Friday.

A demonstration opposing U.S. military action in Iraq is scheduled for downtown Wichita on Friday.

People with signs urging President Obama not to send troops, air strikes or weapons to Iraq plan to gather at Douglas and Waco from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The demonstration is sponsored by the Peace and Social Justice Center of South Central Kansas and CodePink, People of Faith for Peace.
