The NBA Draft is Thursday, but the Harlem Globetrotters beat the league to the punch Tuesday by announcing seven men the team "drafted" -- including Wichita State forward Nick Wiggins, who completed his eligibility in March.
Wiggins and his brother, Mitchell Jr., were named by the exhibition team. Mitchell Wiggins Jr. led Southeastern (Fla.) to the NAIA Division II tournament and was second in the NAIA slam dunk contest.
Also named were Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel, professional soccer star Landon Donovan, and three other basketball players: Eastern Kentucky's Marcus Lewis, Southwestern (Okla.) Christian's Tyler Inman, and New Mexico State's Sim Bhullar. Lewis won the college slam dunk title in April, while Inman was the NAIA winner.
