Wichita police are seeking the public’s help in trying to identify suspects in two recent incidents that could be related.

Both incidents occurred between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on June 6 in the same area, according to the police department’s Facebook page.

In the first incident, a man was standing near Ninth and Estelle waiting for a ride when a small, light-colored car — perhaps an Oldsmobile Alero — occupied by four men pulled up next to him and asked several questions.

The suspects got out and beat and robbed the man, taking his cellphone.

In a potentially related incident, a homeless man was found in the street at 900 North Grove with a serious wound to his forehead. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Anyone with information about the two crimes is asked to contact Det. Schomaker at -316-268-4387 or RSchomaker@wichita.gov.
