GOP candidates for Sedgwick County Commission to appear at Pachyderm forum

The Wichita Pachyderm Club is sponsoring a candidate forum and luncheon Friday for Republican primary candidates for the Sedgwick County Commission.
The club expects to hear from District 4 candidates Carolyn McGinn, a state legislator, and incumbent Richard Ranzau. District 4 covers the north-central part of the county and includes Park City and Valley Center. McGinn, a former commissioner, lives in Sedgwick, and Ranzau lives in north Wichita. District 5 candidates Dion Avello, mayor of Derby, and Jim Howell, a state legislator, also are slated to participate. District 5 covers south-central Wichita and Derby. Avello and Howell both live in Derby.
The club meets from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday on the ninth floor of the Petroleum Club at 100 N. Broadway in Wichita. The luncheon costs $12.
