An Augusta man has been sentenced to 18 years and four months in federal prison after pleading guilty to a charge of producing child pornography in 2012, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom.

Kristopher Sims, 30, admitted to making a recording of a 12-year-old girl performing a sexual act on Nov. 20, 2012. Sims met the girl while posing as a teenager on Facebook. In sexually explicit video chats, Sims recorded the live feed from her computer, according to the release.
