Man wounded in shooting near Lincoln, Edgemoor

Wichita police are investigating a shooting that occurred at about 1 a.m. Sunday following a party in south Wichita.
A 28-year-old man received a grazing wound to his elbow, according to Sgt. Ed Brower, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department. Police were called to the area of Lincoln and Pinecrest when a witness from the party flagged officers down.
The party was in the 800 block of South Pinecrest, near Edgemoor.
The man refused medical attention from a EMS unit called to the scene.
According to witnesses, a fight broke out and an individual pulled out a gun and shot the man and at two other people, Brower said.
Officers found a 9 mm handgun and casings in the 700 block of South Pinecrest.
“It is believed to be the gun used,” Brower said.
No arrests have been made.
