An 84-year-old Wichita bar proprietor was robbed of his wallet containing about $100 in cash on Sunday morning, Wichita police Lt. Dan East said Monday.

At about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, a 55-year-old man the proprietor knows came into the El Matador Lounge, 2033 S. Broadway, demanding the 84-year-old’s wallet.

After a brief struggle, the 55-year-old man took the wallet and fled on foot, but not before dropping some “personal paperwork,” East said.

The bar owner was not injured. No arrests have been made in the case.
