A small fire in Newman University’s Heimerman Science Center has been extinguished Monday morning, Newman officials said.
Smoke was reported coming from the campus around 8:15 a.m. Monday, and firefighters were dispatched to determine the cause.
Newman’s Twitter page said the fire was caused by a faulty motor in a professor’s second-floor office.
No one was injured in the fire.
