A man riding a bicycle was critically injured when he was hit by a car in southwest Wichita early Friday afternoon, authorities said.

A man riding a bicycle was critically injured when he was hit by a car in southwest Wichita early Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The collision occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. at Harry and Fern, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said. That’s southwest of Seneca and McCormick in southwest Wichita.

The victim was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in critical condition, the dispatcher said.
