Fort Larned photography workshop scheduled

Fort Larned National Historic Site is hosting a free photography workshop for adults.

The workshop is from 2 to 5 p.m. June 21 on the fort’s grounds.

Participants are asked to bring their own digital camera, iPad, cellphone or other camera device.

Tracy Williams, a professional photographer and Fort Larned volunteer will lead the workshop, “Showcasing Images and Your Creativity.”

Participants will be asked to choose their favorite photographs from the workshop which will then be enlarged and mounted for display at the fort during the July 4 weekend. To register for the workshop, call 620-285-6911.

Fort Larned National Historic Site, a unit of the U.S. National Park Service, is six miles west of Larned on K-156. The park is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free. For more information go to www.nps. gov/fols or call 620-285-6916.
