Whoever stole an estimated $16,000 worth of items from a commercial property on West Street went to some trouble.
The thieves used a tractor to move concrete barricades to gain access to the property, near 4700 S. West St., sheriff’s Lt. David Mattingly said Tuesday.
The stolen items included 559 gallons of unleaded gasoline, generators, saws, nailers and a flatbed trailer, he said. The thieves also caused an estimated $1,300 in damages.
The theft occurred between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday, Mattingly said.
