Police once in a while like to remind people about seat belt laws.
On Friday several Wichita police officers stationed themselves at Kellogg and Edgemoor. They stopped 47 motorists, and issued 51 citations, Wichita police Lt. Dan East said Monday.
Thirty-five of the citations were for failing to wear a seat belt. Other violations included running a red light, turning violations, no proof of insurance, or driving with defective equipment, East said.
The good news, he said: No one pulled over was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
