A medical condition led to a fatal Reno County crash involving a 79-year-old Hutchinson man, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Herbert C. Lewis died Sunday following an accident four miles east of Medora on East 82nd Avenue and North Kent Road, the report said.

He was driving a 2007 Nissan Maxima west on 82nd shortly before 3 p.m. when the car went into a ditch, struck a culvert and overturned. A medical condition caused him to black out, the report said.

Lewis was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita where he died Sunday night.
