Barbara Eden, the 1960s television star, and her husband, a University of Kansas alumnus, have given $300,000 to the school for acting scholarships.
Jon Eicholtz and Eden gave the money to the school Eicholtz said gave him a foundation for life, according to a prepared statement from KU.
Eicholtz grew up in Topeka and earned a bachelor’s degree from KU in architectural engineering. Eden starred with Larry Hagman in the series “I Dream of Jeannie,” which the KU statement pointed out has run in syndication or on cable for the four decades since it completed five seasons on network television.
