Students who complete an associate of applied science degree at Wichita Area Technical College will now be allowed to transfer to Newman University as college juniors, according to a prepared statement from both schools.

Specific courses at WATC will be considered equivalent to Newman courses now, the statement said. So WATC transfer students will need only an additional 62 credit hours to complete a general business degree, the statement said.

Leaders of both schools signed an agreement making this possible earlier this week.
