A would-be thief failed trying to use an adhesive device to steal deposit envelopes from a night drop box at a bank, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
Between 5 p.m. Friday and 4:50 p.m. Saturday, someone inserted an adhesive-covered device into a bank drop box near 12000 West K-42, the office said. But when the person tried to pull the device out, it became stuck, and the person left the device in the box.
No loss was reported.
