A 53-year-old man arrested by police for outstanding warrants early Sunday morning told an officer he needed to tell him something.
The man had a large cut on the left side of his torso, said Sgt. Ed Brower, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
He’d been stabbed by a 50-year-old woman in the 2600 block of North Grove, he said.
The man was then taken to a local hospital in stable condition where he was treated.
When police officers went back to the area, they found the woman and evidence at the scene, Brower said.
Earlier there had been a disturbance “where the individual alleged to have a baseball bat and the other had a knife. That led to the cutting,” Brower said.
No further details were released.
