Brownback to meet with Wichita State leaders Monday

The governor of Kansas will meet with Wichita State University administrators and the student government president to discuss the importance of funding in higher education, WSU said in a prepared statement Friday.

The meeting will be from 1:30-2 p.m. Monday at WSU's Marcus Welcome Center. Afterward, Gov. Sam Brownback, WSU president John Bardo and the student governing association president Darren Beckham will take questions from the media at 2 pm.

Following the meeting, Gov. Brownback, WSU President John Bardo and SGA President Darren Beckham will be available for questions from the media at 2 p.m. Monday, in the Armstrong/King Rooms of the Marcus Welcome Center, the WSU statement said.
