Park City man facing federal child porn charges

A Park City man was indicted Wednesday by a grand jury on federal charges involving child pornography.

Kyle B. Rains, 30, was charged with two counts of distributing child porn and one count of possessing child porn, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said in a news release.

The offenses allegedly occurred in February and March in Sedgwick County.

In other indictments Wednesday:

• Kevin L. Cline, 55, Minneapolis, Kan., and C.R. Plating of Minneapolis were charged with 20 counts of violating the federal Clean Water Act.

Cline and the metal finishing business also were charged with three counts of violating state laws, including lying to state health and environment officials, and one count of putting pollutants in Minneapolis’ sewer system.

• Edith Misael Salas-Rangel, 27, a Mexican citizen, was charged with unlawfully re-entering the United States after being deported. She was found March 28 in Geary County.
