A 24-year-old Wichita man sustained minor injuries just before 10 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle was carjacked at a west-side restaurant.
The man was leaving work at the HomeTown Buffet, 6800 W. Central, near Ridge Road, at about 9:50 p.m. Saturday night when he was approached by a man, Wichita police Sgt. Ed Brower said.
The suspect demanded the man’s keys, then attacked him when the worker refused, Brower said. The employee was punched several times, before the suspect climbed into his green Ford Focus and left the area.
The victim sustained minor injuries in the carjacking, Brower ssaid.
