Someone used a Wichita man’s credit card to make 32 online purchases, with a total loss of $20,633.60, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

It’s not clear how the card or its number was stolen, sheriff’s Lt. David Mattingly said.

The online purchases occurred between March 21 and March 28 through various travel websites, the office said.
