There is a possibility of tennis-ball-size hail Wednesday night as storms are expected to sweep over south-central and southeast Kansas.
“We are going to have a chance for severe weather this evening, the strongest storms capable of producing hail up to tennis ball size,” said Mick McGuire, meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected between 6 and 10 p.m.
On Wednesday morning, meteorologists were examining the forecast.
“At this point, we don’t have any storms developing now to know who will be under the gun,” McGuire said. “If it stays cloudy and cool throughout the day, that works in our favor.”
