A 15-year-old boy used a hatchet to attack a man in Wichita, sending him to the hospital with face and hand injuries.
A 23-year-old man got into an argument with the boy and a 54-year-old man about 8 a.m. Monday near George Washington Boulevard and Menlo, just south of Lincoln, Police Lt. Dan East said Tuesday.
In addition to the boy using a hatchet, the older man sprayed Mace on the 23-year-old. The 54-year-old fled the scene but was later arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, East said.
The boy has not been found, he said.
The 23-year-old received stitches to his face and left hand and before before being released from a Wichita hospital, East said.
It’s not known what started the argument.
