Police are investigating a report that four students at Cessna Elementary School have been regularly subjected to “lewd fondling and touching” by a classmate since September.
A police report filed Thursday said the same classmate has made lewd and suggestive comments to two other students, but hasn’t touched or fondled them.
The behavior continued from September 1, 2013, until Thursday, according to the report, and took place on school property during school hours. It’s unclear when the school learned of the allegations.
“Once we were made aware of it, we reported it,” said Susan Arensman, spokeswoman for the Wichita school.
Matt Snodgrass, Cessna principal, declined to discuss the report.
“We turned the report over to the police and they’re working on it,” he said.
Snodgrass and Arensman declined to say whether the student suspected of committing the lewd behavior has been disciplined.
“The police are working on their investigation right now,” Snodgrass said.
