A woman told police that a man she knew threw a metal pipe at her car while she was sitting in it, then pulled a handgun on her, police said.
The incident happened about 6 p.m. Thursday while the woman, 26, was in her car in a parking lot in the 200 block of North Hillside.
The woman reported that she knew the man who assaulted her.
She said the man, 26, first yelled something at her, then threw the pipe, which struck her car, and pointed a gun at her, Lt. Dan East said.
When she tried to drive away, he hit her car with his vehicle and left the scene. The woman wasn’t injured.
The man was gone before police arrived, East said.
