After a Wichita man took cover inside his south-side home Saturday morning, a person with a gun took to damaging the homeowner’s car.
Wichita police Sgt. Ron Hunt said police were called at 1 a.m. Saturday to a house in the 1200 block of South Longfellow, where a man reported hearing a disturbance outside. When the man went to investigate, he told police he was approached by an unknown man who chased him around to the side of his house and pointed a handgun at him.
“He was able to run back inside the residence where he observed the male shattering the sunroof to his car, breaking off the side mirror and walking on top of the vehicle,” Hunt said.
Hunt said a suspect has not been identified.
