Police were called to an apartment complex near Pawnee and Broadway about 9 p.m. Saturday by a resident who found a hand grenade while cleaning.

The bomb squad took away the pineapple-style grenade and will destroy it at a bomb range, said Sgt. John Hoofer, with the Wichita Police Department.
