Collision near Nickerson kills Sterling woman

A 20-year-old woman was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash about four miles west of Nickerson.
Allyson R. Yutzy, of Sterling, was westbound on K-14 when she lost control of her 2005 Saturn and crossed into oncoming traffic, the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report. The car was hit by an eastbound Chevy Tahoe, killing Yutzy, the highway patrol said.
The two people in the SUV – 24-year-old Thomas J. Fortune of Butte, Mont., and 22-year-old Casey D. Fouts of Sterling – were taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, the highway patrol said.
The collision happened at 11:10 a.m.
