Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run collision in west Wichita last week that left one person in critical condition.

A silver pickup collided with a red SUV on Maize Road just south of Central at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Doug Nolte said. The driver of the SUV suffered “very serious” injuries and remains hospitalized, he said.

“Occupants in the pickup fled after they hit the SUV,” Nolte said.

The men ran from the crash site into the surrounding neighborhood, he said. Anyone who witnessed the collision is encouraged to call Detective Paul Kimble at 316-268-4167.
