Wichita police have taken a 2-year-old girl into protective custody.

Police were called to 855 S. Broadway, south of Kellogg, at 12:35 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found the child with a relative. But there was drug paraphernalia and it was determined it was unsafe living conditions for the child, said Sgt. John Hoofer, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

No arrests were made.

“I am sure it is going to be looked at by our EMCU (Exploited and Missing Child Unit) detectives,” Hoofer said.
