A man whose car hit three vehicles and injured two drivers during a police chase ran up a long tally of charges, Wichita police said.
The chase began shortly after 1 p.m., when police pulled over a vehicle in the 1400 block of North Emporia, Nolte said.
Before police arrested the driver after a long, circular chase, the car had run five stoplights and 24 stop signs, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.
Two people whose cars were hit were slightly injured and one was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, Nolte said.
The suspect was identified on jail sheets as Rene M. Ibarra, 23.
Ibarra was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of a long list of charges: felony evading and eluding, aggravated battery, reckless driving, hit and run, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and many more. He also had at least two outstanding warrants in connection with previous violations, Nolte said.
