A man was beaten and robbed on Wednesday while walking down a street, Wichita police said.
The victim, 34, was walking east near 17th and Erie when he was approached by another man just after 4 p.m., said Lt. Doug Nolte.
The man asked him “What do you have?” then punched the victim in the jaw and took his cellphone, Nolte said. The victim later needed three stitches in his face, Nolte said.
Police later found another man who had the stolen phone, Nolte said. That man was arrested – and he told police who the other suspect is, Nolte said.
Police have not yet found the man who took the phone, Nolte said.
