Wichita won’t see another 70-degree day today, forecasters say, but there could be some rain late in the day.

Highs will top out in the upper 50s under increasingly cloudy skies, with southeasterly winds in the teens and gusts nearing 25 miles an hour. Showers and thunderstorms are possible late tonight, though forecasters say the better chances for rain will be to the southeast of Wichita.

Overnight lows will be in the low to mid-40s, with chances for rain persisting but diminishing into Thursday morning. Highs on Thursday will only be in the low 50s before a cold front pushes through the region and sends temperatures back down toward seasonal norms.

Skies will clear Thursday afternoon, with lows dropping into the upper 20s. Friday’s high will rebound into the upper 50s under sunny skies.
