Commuters will want to be wary of elevated surfaces Wednesday morning, forecasters say, since patchy freezing fog is in the forecast for the Wichita area.
Winds will stir out of the south and southwest, helping skies partially clear and boosting temperatures to a high in the mid-30s. Those winds will then switch to the north later in the day. Overnight lows will drop to the low 20s as skies remain mostly cloudy.
Thursday will see more sunshine and highs reaching the mid- to upper 40s, forecasters say. Southerly winds will climb into the teens at times.
Friday looks warmer still, with sunny skies and highs nearing or nudging above the 50-degree mark. The weekend will be warmer yet, with highs soaring to the upper 50s and perhaps even topping 60, forecasters say.
