Cancellations, postponements (updated Feb. 6)

Wichita and most area schools were closed for a second day on Wednesday after overnight frigid temperatures followed Tuesday’s snowstorm.

Following is a list of known closings, cancellations and postponements:

Reschedulings

Museums, charities, other organizations

• The Homeschool Family Math Edventure Day at Exploration Place scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled for March 4.
• The Museum of World Treasures has rescheduled its banquet space open house that was set for Tuesday to 6 to 9 p.m. March 4.

Thursday cancellations

Concert

• Phil Vassar’s concert at the Cotillion has been postponed until May 1. All tickets will be honored for rescheduled performance.

Museums, charities, other organizations

• Dress for Success Wichita has canceled its meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at Olivet Baptist Church, 3440 W. 13th St. North.

Schools with cancellations, delays

• Wichita, Goddard, Haysville, Maize, Newton, Renwick and Valley Center school districts have canceled classes.

Schools that will be open

• Andover, Augusta, Derby and Mulvane school districts, Wichita Catholic schools and Wichita Collegiate will have regularly-scheduled classes.
• Wichita State University, Friends and Newman universities will hold regularly-scheduled classes.
• Wichita Area Technical College will be open Thursday. High school students whose school districts have canceled classes Thursday are excused.

Saturday postponements

Palmyra Baptist Church, Benton, has rescheduled its annual sausage and pancake supper from Feb. 8 to Feb. 22. The supper is from 4 to 8 p.m.
