Wichita State men’s basketball coach Gregg Marshall advanced to the second round of voting in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge through ESPN.com
Marshall is one of 24 coaches competing for $100,000 designated to the charity of their choice. Marshall chose the Wichita Children’s Home. The field started with 48 coaches on Jan. 6.
Marshall has received 14 percent of the vote and is tied with Purdue’s Matt Painter in second. Ohio State’s Thad Matta is first with 42 percent.
Fans can register at espn.com/infiniti and vote for their favorite coach. Winners advance to the round of 24, then 16, and then four. The winning charity, announced March 16, receives $100,000.
Kansas coach Bill Self and Kansas State’s Bruce Weber were eliminated in the first round.
Voting for the second round continues until Feb. 16.
